Christmas is the time for sharing. You can see gift boxes and wrappings everywhere. People are in the mood to give and receive something special from people special to them. It is, indeed, the merriest days of the year.

And I am in the mood to receive. And I know most of my friends are thinking of giving me gifts this Christmas, but thinking what would be the best gift for yours truly. Well, I’m a good friend, and this year I won’t let these special people go through this mind-popping task anymore. If one of ‘em is you, it’s your lucky day, you don’t have to look everywhere this year- here are the things that I want for Christmas!

Anything for my new Ericsson W810i. You see my funds were almost depleted because of this gift that I’ve given myself for this year (but I have no regrets because so far, I’m lovin’ every bit of it.) So it would take long before I’m ableto get me some more stuff for my phone to spice it up a bit more. To make it the ultimate travel companion, I’d need a 1 or 2GB Pro Duo memory stick, a nice casing and a new original Sony-Ericsson earphone. Hint hint!

Ookay okay I admit I ask for too much. But it’s Christmas. And when someone expects a gift from Santa, it is assumed that things like a new Video iPod is never an exception for his toy production team of elves… or whatever you call them. Besides, if they’re sticking to wooden Pinocchio’s and toy trains still, someone oughtta tell them that kids these days want most adults have or have… and I surely do hope it’s not vice-versa…

I miss having teddy bears in the car. I’ve given them all out to friends early this year because there was I time when I hated teddy bears. But I do miss them now. They’re like my silent company whenever I have long trips with Camille. Pillows even when I have to do long waits for Ethel or Luke in the car. Now, I only have two boring pillows and a couple of small stuffed toys there. Bummer.

Free pass in the North Expressway through a year-worth of EC Tag would be another good choice, my dear friends. You see I’ve always believed that they got the price for the toll fee way high above the normal scale, and I’ve always been reluctant whenever I pay the dues on the booth, even if those nice NLEX people would throw the nicest smiles and greetings for you. Bahh… ang mahal pa rin!!! Hint: This year, toll fee is going to be 10% lower, I heard. So that would be P7.50 less than the usual for trips from Malolos to Balintawak. 10%???? We deserve more than that! Haven’t they attained a break-even yet?

You know I’m a big Superman fan these days. It all started with Smallville, then Superman Returns happened. Then, back to finishing Smallville Season 4 and 5. Now, this Christmas, I want a Superman Returns DVD!!! Robert, my seatmate in the office, has one. He said it has lots of goodies inside- the documentaries, lotsa deleted scenes, lots of commentaries… and of course, the pleasure of watching DVD-quality movies in the comforts of your home. But wait, there’s more! There’s a comicbook that comes with it if you get the special edition. And the whole package includes two discs!!! Waah I want a copy! I want a copy NOW!!!! *tantrums* hehe…

Lately, there had been talks in the house about actually getting a dog for Luke. I’d like to have a dog someday. It’s been one of my frustrations since almost all of the dogs we had when we were just kids died young. I don’t know. I think there was a curse laid on the backyard that all dogs should die a gruesome death. I think the curse have been lifted now, since our kapitbahay has a dog now and been there for almost a year still healthy and running around crazy. I’d like to have a dog who’s gentle yet could really go wild when it senses that we’re under attack or in danger or something. She’d be all cuddly and cute whenever we want to, eats a lot, sleeps like a cat, kind and super obidient. I’d like to have a dog just like Shelby the one that Clark Kent (from the Smallville series) has. Superpowers included, if possible.

I want Final Fantasy stuff. Anything. Tshirts, key-chains, action figures, bling-blings, pillows, anything! I’d also love gifts that have Kingdom Hearts themes. I’d love Kairi or Ashe printed on my shirt. They’d look really nice under my sweater which I’d most likely wear at work. I’d also like a Gunblade or Keyblade necklace or keychain. The original version, not the pirated one. You’ll find them all in the basement of SM Megamall, by the way. Look for a store named "Comic Quest". They have two branches on the same floor, look for the one that has lots of Anime stuff inside. You may not be able to buy me a gift there, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy being there if you’re a big Anime fan. It’s a good find, actually.

I’ve been wanting to have the complete set of the "Conversations with God" series. It’s been years since I’ve read Book 1, and I’d like to read it again since I already forgot most of what’s in there, though most of the lessons really had a big impact on how I think about life. Then there’s book 2. And book 3. Gosh… It felt like God was speaking to me while indulging every word, and yet I can’t believe I missed a lot already. I once saw a complete set in Powerbooks (SM Marilao) and it costs around P600. It’s a good buy, actually, considering that each book costs around P400 separately. I didn’t have the budget when I got there… I hope it’s still there. One of my next year’s New Years resolution is to go back to reading books like this. I’ve been looking for inspiration everywhere, perhaps looking up would result to something. Di ba, Lord? Heheh…

Uhh… this is too much for a Christmas wishlist, isn’t it? Well… you know me. It’s never the material things that count. As long as you’re there to greet me Merry Christmas whether you’re in a party or if we meet somewhere on the road, it’s more that okay for me. But if you’re Santa Clause and if you believe that I’ve been a really really good boy this year (which I believe I am!), you oughtta read the list again, cuz it’s definitely I want for Christmas! Yihee!
